ThaisilkHome.com was establish in 2002 for promoting our Thai silk products which are made in our shop in Ban Krua village.
The shop was set up by Mr.Anant Benjarongjinda who worked with Jim Thompson for more than 30 years. He knows all the processes of producing silk. After Mr. Thompson disappeared in Malaysia, he continued in his business as silk is in his blood. He has been in silk business for over 50 years.
At present, most premium silk shops use machines to produce silk fabric, we still retain the traditional style method by using loom and skillful people. So our exclusive silk carries the imprint of the weaver’s character and emotion. The special dye technique and the tight weaving method create our premium silk fabric. The twist method is by using different colors between the warp and the weft. Fabrics range from single ply up to six ply.
At ThaiSilkHome.com, we offer our customers a competitive price with the best quality. We also guarantee that every piece has quality control from the beginning of washing and dyeing until weaving the silk fabric.
If you have your own pattern style or need “Made to order” silk fabric, we recommend you send us a sample. We can custom dye and weave it to your requirements. You can also refer to pantone code for reference. However, it will have a colour variance range of about 5 percents.
